Mr.
Pusich confirmed that his department had made such
arrangements.
Proposed new agreement -
Belmont Fire District
Assistant City Manager Smith referred to his report of
August 8, 1975 regarding the subject agreement observing
that the agreement will be for a ten-year period and the
level of service will be increased at virtually no addi-
tional cost because of the cooperation between the
Belmont Fire Protection District and the City.
Council members commended staff and the Belmont Fire
District for their enlightened approach to providing
improved fire services at reduced cost to all as a
result of the kind of intergovernmental cooperation
that can be of great benefit to taxpayers.
MOTION : Title having been read, Councilman Leipzig in-
troduced the following resolution and moved, seconded
by Councilman Barrett, its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 7467 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXE-
CUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD
CITY AND THE BELMONT FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT RE-
LATING
TO FIRE PROTECTION AND RESCUE SERVICES AND
CONSOLIDATED EMERGENCY DISPATCHING SERVICE
The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote .
-4-
Reg.Mtg.
8/11/75
