1' 46 <br /> MOTION Resolution having been read, Councilman Leipzig intro- <br /> duced the resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, <br /> its adoption <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7489 ESTABLISHING THE RED MORTON MEMORIAL <br /> WITHIN RED MORTON COMMUNITY PARK o , <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote <br /> Vice Mayor Williams announced that dedication of the Red Morton <br /> Memorial will take place at 2 00 p m , Sunday, October 5, 1975 <br /> at the Red Morton Community Park. <br /> Oath of Office - Marjorie Guida <br /> Vice Mayor Williams introduced Mrs Marjorie Guida, newly appointed <br /> member of the Planning Commission City Clerk Hildebrand then <br /> administered the Oath of Office to Mrs Guida. <br /> Vice Mayor Williams congratulated Mrs Guida, thanked her for <br /> accepting the appointment and called attention to her years of <br /> service as a Council observer for the League of Women Voters and <br /> to her many other activities in community affairs <br /> Mrs Guida thanked Council members for her appointment to the <br /> Planning Commission and stated that as an observer for the League <br /> of Women Voters she could not speak when attending meetings, but <br /> wished to do so at this time for the purpose of recognizing the <br /> good fortune of citizens of Redwood City in having honest, able <br /> representatives who do their homework on the matters coming be- <br /> fore <br /> them Mrs. Guida also commended City Manager Fales and the <br /> City staff <br /> Public Hearing - Change of parking meter times - <br /> Marshall Street Parking Lot <br /> In response to inquiry of Vice Mayor Williams, City Clerk Hildebrand <br /> advised that Affidavit of Publication of Notice of Hearing regard- <br /> ing the subject public hearing is on file in the City Clerk's <br /> office and that no written communications on the subject have been <br /> filed <br /> Vice Mayor Williams then declared open at 7 40 p m the subject <br /> public hearing <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of September 4, 1975 re- <br /> lating to a use study of the Marshall Street parking lot which <br /> concluded that more effective use could be made of the lot by <br /> making certain changes with regard to meter times <br /> Deputy Director of Public Works-Engineering Sennewald called <br /> attention to a wall chart depicting the effect of the proposed <br /> changes <br /> Vice Mayor Williams invited anyone present who wished to speak <br /> to do so No one present wished to speak <br /> -2- <br /> Reg Mtg. <br /> 9/22/75 <br />
