'I. 78 <br /> before the Council Mr Schroeter stated that four areas of Redwood <br /> City are not part of the Plan 1 ) Parkwood 101 , 2) the tip of the <br /> Redwood Peninsula including Bird Island and all land bayward of <br /> the PG&E power lines, 3) Bair Island, 4) all of the rest of Redwood <br /> City Mr. Schroeter pointed out that what is planned for the eastern <br /> part of the Peninsula is not affected by the proposed Plan Further, <br /> for the record, he stated that those areas are not unplanned, but <br /> that there is no proposal to revise the present Plan for them and that <br /> construction of a subregional sewage treatment plant as a public <br /> facility is anticipated for the tip of Redwood Peninsula. <br /> MOTION. Councilman Norris moved that the wide line on the amended <br /> map showing the connector between Marine World Parkway and Peninsula <br /> Parkway be shown as a collector street and scaled down in width so <br /> that it will not represent a parkway as suggested by the map legend <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Williams introduced the <br /> following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Barrett, its <br /> adoption <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7507 ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE GENERAL <br /> PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO REDWOOD SHORES <br /> In response to question, Mr Schroeter advised that when the Council <br /> amendments made it necessary to move the marina, low lying inundated <br /> land was left and it is intended that it should remain so <br /> In response to Councilman's Norris statement for the record that the <br /> area near the Belpipe has become a wildlife feeding area with many <br /> herons and other wild birds observed there, Mr Fales suggested the <br /> testimony on the subject might be useful in dealing with the Regional <br /> Water Duality Control Board which requires a National Pollutant Dis- <br /> chargers Elimination System Permit City Attorney Schricker stated <br /> further for the record that the City does not agree that such a per- <br /> mit is necessary. <br /> Councilman Henderson stated for the record that although the proposed <br /> revised General Plan is not entirely what she might prefer, she is <br /> particularly pleased with the inclusion of the marina on the Belmont <br /> Slough and the provision for both commercial development and water- <br /> oriented residential development to accompany it. Councilman Henderson <br /> said further that it is essential to maintain a balance in order to <br /> assure that commercial/industrial development keeps pace with resi- <br /> dential development and that the proposed Plan offers the future <br /> residents and businessmen in Redwood Shores as well as to all Redwood <br /> City taxpayers greater potential than the previous Plan for the area <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> Public Hearing - Proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance <br /> defining violations (continued from 10/13/75) <br /> Mayor Weymouth reminded Council that consideration of the subject <br /> proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance was continued from <br /> October 13, 1975 without opening of the public hearing at that time <br /> 3 <br /> Reg Mtg. <br /> 11/3/75 <br />
