18 $ MOTION Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Councilman Barrett, to approve the recommendation of the Housing Concerns Committee that having submitted its final report, the Housing Advisory Subcommittee be disbanded and that members be thanked for all of their efforts in completing their assigned task. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote (MINUTE ORDER NO 75-228) Report of the Planning Commission and the Park and Recreation Commission re Sequoia Union High School District surplus school site (Farm'Hill area) City Manager Fales referred to the subject report and suggested no snecific action is presently required except transmission of the reports to the Board of Trustees of the Sequoia Union High School District as requested in their letter to the City Council of September 25 which invited consideration and recommendation of the Land Use Study for the site MOTION Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by Councilman Williams, to approve the recommendation of the City Manager that the reports of the'Planning Commission and of the Park and Recreation Commission on the Land Use Study-Farm Hill Boulevard School Site prepared for the Sequoia Union High School District be transmitted to the Board of Trustees CLARIFICATION Councilman Henderson stated that it is the intent of her motion that in forwarding the reports to the School Board, that all options are still available to the City Council and that the Board should be so informed. The Planning and Park and Recreation Commissions were commended for their work in reviewing the proposals for the school site and pre- paring their recommendations The motion carried unanimously by voice vote (MINUTE ORDER NO 75-229) Report of Planning Commission transmitting proposed Comprehensive General Plan City Manager Fales advised that the Comprehensive General Plan is being transmitted by the Planning Commission to Council for their review, that the first public hearing on the Plan is scheduled for Tuesday, November 11 , 1975 at 7 30 p m. in the Veterans Memorial Building, and that no action is required at this time. It was the consensus of Council that when the public hearing set for November 11 is continued, as planned, the date to which it is continued will be advertised as was the first hearing (memo 11/11/75) Development of County-owned airports City Manager Fales called attention to the report of November 7, 1975 from Councilman Norris, representative to the Airport Land Use Committee, containing the City' s position -2- Reg Mtg 11/10/75
