215 RESOLUTION NO 7523 ESTABLISHING STOP ENTRANCES AT INTER- SECTION OF ALAMEDA DE ,LAS PULGAS WITH KENSINGTON ROAD, WASHINGTON AVENUE, BRIARFIELD AVENUE, HASTINGS AVENUE, CHESTERTON AVENUE, CROMPTON ROAD, CHESHIRE WAY, MADISON AVENUE, DOVER ROAD, AND WESSEX WAY AND AT INTERSECTION OF CASSIA AVENUE WITH HILTON AVENUE, AND AT INTERSECTION OF MAPLE AVENUE WITH CHEMICAL WAY The motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. ' Permit for Drilling re Seismic Testing Mr Fales referred to his report of December 4, 1975 relating to the request of the United States Geological Survey, Department of the Interior, for a revocable permit for the purpose of drilling a hole in conjunction with certain seismic tests. He indicated that staff would like to add as a condition to the permit a re- quirement that the City be informed of results of the tests as they are developed by the U S.G.S He also advised, in response to concerns expressed by Councilman Norris, that the U S.G.S is thoroughly familiar with all of the data and extensive material previously developed for the area, and what they will be attempting to do is to gather on-site experimental data on a day-to-day basis at this particular site. Councilman Henderson, noting that she serves on behalf of the City as a member of the Strong Motion Instrumentation Program, advised that any work done by the USG S is of benefit to that Program without additional cost to it, and thus it is highly desirable to assist the U S G.S 1 Mr Pusich, in response to question by Council , described the pre- cise location of the test site Councilman Norris asked that a second addendum be incorporated in the Permit stating that a number of studies have been done and referencing those studies so that in the future for any succeeding investigation the record will reflect that extensive studies have been done in the area Mr Fales reiterated his earlier request that the Permit have in- cluded the condition that the City be kept apprised of results of the tests as they develop MOTION Title having been read, Councilman Norris introduced the following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Leipzig, its adoption RESOLUTION NO 7524 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A REVOCABLE PERMIT TO UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR GEOLOGICAL SURVEY TO CONDUCT GEOLOGICAL STUDIES ON CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY• and that the Revocable Permit contain addenda as follows: -3- N Reg Mtg 12/8/75
