Letter from California State Foundation requesting <br /> endorsement of the Great Relief Map Bicentennial <br /> Project <br /> Bruce Fox, California State Foundation, reported he <br /> has appeared before various city and county govern- <br /> ment bodies requesting endorsement of his organiza- <br /> tion's Bicentennial project which involves restoring <br /> and permanently displaying the Great Relief Map of <br /> California which was on display in the San Francisco <br /> Ferry Building for many years and is now in private <br /> storage. Mr. Fox stated that no financial obliga- <br /> tion is made or expected from the endorsing agency <br /> and that the funds needed are anticipated to come <br /> from private sources and from the state and federal <br /> government funds provided for celebration of the <br /> Bicentennial. <br /> MOTION: Councilman Henderson moved, seconded by <br /> two Councilman Rhodes, that the Council endorse the <br /> project of the California State Foundation to re- <br /> store and preserve the Great Relief Map of California <br /> for display. <br /> The motion carried by majority voice vote. <br /> (MINUTE ORDER NO. 75-53) <br /> 6.
