Rhodes <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> The Council of the City of Redwood City met on this date <br /> at 7 :30 p.m. with Mayor Weymouth presiding. <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Rhodes. <br /> The invocation was led by the Reverend Lynn Hethcock, <br /> Peninsula Christian Center. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Councilmen present : Barrett, Henderson, Leipzig, Norris, <br /> Rhodes, Williams and Mayor Weymouth <br /> Councilmen absent : None <br /> Officials and staff present : City Manager Fales, City <br /> Attorney Schricker, Assistant City Manager Smith, and <br /> Planning Director Schroeter, Director of Parks and <br /> Recreation Weeks, Police Lieutenant Hinkley, Deputy <br /> Director of Public Works Sennewald, Deputy City Clerk <br /> Reggetts. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> MOTION: Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilman <br /> Rhodes, approval of the Minutes of January 6, 1975 as <br /> submitted. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> One-Way Streets - St. Francis Street and Nevada Street <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of January 10, <br /> 1975 to which was attached the report of the Director of <br /> Public Works. The recommendation was to change St. Francis <br /> Street in the portion between Madison Avenue and the <br /> Veterans Memorial Building parking lot from two-way <br /> traffic to one-way southbound, and Nevada Street in the <br /> portion between the parking lot and Madison Avenue, one- <br /> way northbound. The proposed changes would provide a <br /> better and more logical circulation pattern. A slide <br /> drawing of the area was shown illustrating the recom- <br /> mended revisions. <br /> Mr. Fales responded to questions by Council, advising <br /> there were no neighboring residences that would be <br /> affected, and that there would be adequate signing <br /> which should reduce the possibility of any problem <br /> involved with the change. <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 1/13/75 <br />
