It was explained that <br /> there are federal and state programs related to tax deductions. <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Biagi .determined it to be the consensus of Council that the <br /> following changes, additions and deletions suggested by the Councilmen <br /> indicated be made in the Draft Housing Element of June 9, 1981 <br /> (listed in numerical order, by page): <br /> 1) Page 7 - 7. Condominium Conversion - in the second paragraph, <br /> delete references to relating condominium conversion to the <br /> apartment vacancy rate, noting that Council does not wish to <br /> change the present condominium conversion ordinance (Chapter <br /> 30, Subdivision Ordinance) which considers each proposal on a <br /> case by case basis. (Councilman Leipzig) <br /> 2) Page 10 - 4. Future Housing Need - delete "6. Housing needs <br /> of farmworkers" (Councilman Leipzig) <br /> 3) Page 14 - A.1. a. - insert "rehabilitation" between <br /> "providing" and "financial" (Councilman Chandler) <br /> 4) Page 15 - A.2. e. - after "age" insert "(both senior and <br /> minor)" (Councilman Chandler) <br /> 5) Page 18 - 5. Housing and Human Concerns Committee - in the <br /> paragraph on "Proposed Specific Actions", insert after <br /> Commissions "the Redevelopment Agency" (Councilman Chandler) <br /> 6) Page 19 - 6. New Construction - in the last paragraph on <br /> "Time Frame", the reference to the cooperative project being <br /> completed by June 1982 should be deleted or changed to <br /> reflect the actual anticipated completion date (Councilman <br /> IWO <br /> Chandler) <br /> 7) Page 24 - second paragraph under E. Expanding Housing Supply, <br /> 1. Program Types (continued from Page 23) - delete the last <br /> sentence "Any 'bonus units' developed by this provision must <br /> carry resale control or rental provisions, as specified by <br /> the City of Redwood City, to ensure that such units remain <br /> affordable by low and moderate income people for a period of <br /> not less than 30 years." (Mayor Biagi) <br /> 8) Page 24, E. 1. Program Types - correct references to mobile <br /> homes to reflect current State law (Councilman Leipzig) <br /> 9) Page 27 - F. Citizen Participation - change the first <br /> paragraph describing the Housing and Human Concerns Committee <br /> membership to reflect the new membership makeup of that <br /> Committee (Councilman Chandler) <br /> 10) It was also requested that the spelling and/or typographical <br /> errors in the Draft be corrected. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 81-171 <br /> Mayor Biagi invited anyone else present who wished to speak to do so.
