Refuse Collection Program alternatives Report of City Manager 12/3/81 "1" <br /> Report of Director of Finance 12/2/81 <br /> M/S: Rhodes/Britschgi to continue small <br /> consideration of the report on Refuse <br /> Collection Alternatives for further study. <br /> City Manager Fales reported that the <br /> application of the City of Menlo Park to the <br /> Bay Conservation and Development Commission <br /> for authorization to allow filling of an <br /> additional nine acres at the present site <br /> will be heard on December 18, 1981 and <br /> } suggested consideration of the subject <br /> alternatives be delayed until after that <br /> date. <br /> ADDITION TO MOTION: Councilman Rhodes with <br /> the consent of his second, added to his <br /> motion that the consideration be continued <br /> until December 21, 1981. <br /> Mayor Biagi requested that consideration also <br /> be given to an alternative for pickup of <br /> garden refuse wherein several large dumpsters <br /> r <br /> are placed on public sites on weekends to be <br /> used by residents and hauled away later by <br /> Browning Ferris Industries in order to <br /> provide convenience to residents and avoid <br /> trips to a distant dumpsite. Mr. Fales said <br /> he will refer the suggestion to staff and BFI <br /> for review.
