CGM:jp 11/14/79 <br /> A G R E E M E N T <br /> (REDWOOD SHORES WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN LINE) <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of <br /> , 1979, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, a chartered municipal corporation of the State of California, <br /> (hereinafter referred to as "Redwood City") , and the CITY OF <br /> SAN CARLOS, a general law municipal corporation of the State of <br /> California (hereinafter referred to as "San Carlos") ; <br /> W I T N E S S E T H : <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City wishes to install, operate and maintain <br /> a water transmission main line through a portion of San Carlos <br /> to facilitate improved water service to the Redwood Shores area <br /> of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, San Carlos is willing to permit such installation, <br /> operation and maintenance of a water transmission main line <br /> by Redwood City within its jurisdiction subject to certain <br /> conditions; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> 1. Water Transmission Main Line (General) . San Carlos <br /> agrees to permit Redwood City to install, operate and maintain <br /> a water transmission main line in San Carlos. The water trans- <br /> mission main line contemplated by this agreement will enter San <br /> Carlos at the southerly terminus of Old County Road at Cordilleras <br /> Creek. The alignment will proceed northwesterly along Old <br /> County Road to the intersection of Old County Road and Bransten <br /> Way. The main will then proceed northeasterly along Bransten <br /> Way to the Bayshore Freeway. After crossing Bayshore Freeway, <br /> the water transmission main line will then continue northwesterly <br /> and northeasterly along Sky Way until the line re-enters <br /> Redwood City in the vicinity of Pico Boulevard. The route of the <br /> proposed water main line is shown in red on "Exhibit A". <br />
