Contractor will maintain a smooth, comfortable ride during acceleration, running and <br /> deceleration. Door operation will be smooth and quiet during all modes of operation. <br /> 4. Contractor is responsible for providing, at its' own expense, all necessary tools and <br /> instruments to perform tests substantiating their ability to maintain all facets of the <br /> equipment. <br /> F. Wiring and Construction Prints <br /> All wiring and construction prints or diagrams of elevator systems in City of Redwood City <br /> buildings covered under this contract are the property of the City of Redwood City and upon <br /> termination of this contract shall be delivered to Facilities Manager. All changes in circuitry <br /> made by the Contractor shall be properly recorded on the diagrams, including date of change and <br /> name of person making same. Any time changes aze made, the Contractor shall give the City a <br /> copy of these revisions. <br /> G. Call-Backs <br /> Included in this agreement is unlimited call-back service during regular working hours, (regular <br /> hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and 24/7/365 emergency call-back <br /> service in the event a person is trapped in the elevator, which services are provided to City at no <br /> additional cost. <br /> 1. Contractor shall provide prompt service in the event of improper functioning of the <br /> elevators. In the event of an emergency call (a passenger entrapment or actual imminent <br /> physical or psychological damage to the user of the elevator), the Contractor shall <br /> respond within 60 minutes of placement of the call by the City. City may assess a <br /> penalty of$200 for each half-hour delay beyond the acceptable response time. Penalty <br /> charges will be deducted from monies due the Contractor. <br /> 2. In the event of non-emergency calls during business hours, the Contractor shall provide <br /> service within three hours of placement of the call by the City. On approval by the <br /> Facilities Manager, additional time may be allowed. If the call comes in during non- <br /> business hours, the Contractor shall respond by 10:00 a.m. the next business day. City <br /> may assess a penalty of$100 for each eight hour delay beyond the allowed time. Penalty <br /> charges will be deducted from monies due the Contractor. <br /> 3. All elevator service persons responding to service requests or emergency calls shall <br /> contact Facilities Staff upon arrival at the facility.
