30. Dual Plumbing (Purple Pipe) — Dual plumbing is required for this project. The purple <br /> pipes shall be "roughed in" because recycled water service has not yet been extended <br /> into the Downtown area. Recycled water service shall be provided by the City at a later <br /> date at a pressure of 50-55 pounds per square inch at the service meters. The building <br /> shall be designed so that recycled water plumbing fixtures on all floors of the building <br /> and irrigations systems for landscaping properly function at this delivery pressure. <br /> [COA][ENGINEERING] <br /> 31. Recycled Water Facilities — Recycled water facilities shall be provided and designed <br /> in accordance with Engineering Standards for dual plumbing, irrigation, and other <br /> warranted uses per the Recycled Water Ordinance, Chapter 38,Article VIII. Upon a final <br /> determination by the City that recycled water is available for the property, the applicant <br /> shall connect the project to the recycled water system. [COA][ENGINEERING] <br /> a. The applicant shall hire a California licensed engineer in the field of wastewater <br /> treatment to prepare and submit a report pursuant to California Water Code <br /> section 13522.5 and California Code of Regulations sections 60314 and 60323 <br /> (Title 22, Division 4, Chapter 3) prior to building permit issuance. <br /> [COA][PUBLIC WORKS] <br /> 32. Discharge Permit for Subterranean Garages - If the subterranean garage requires <br /> groundwater pumping into the sewer system, a Discharge fee will apply and a Discharge <br /> Permit will be required by Silicon Valley Clean Water(SCVW). [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> a. In the event that the proposed garage becomes damaged or is otherwise <br /> unusable, a substitute parking supply shall be provided per Article 30.13. <br /> 33. Backflow Protection — Backflow protection on fire protection water services and <br /> domestic water services is required. The backflow preventer shall be above grade and <br /> located on private property, accessible to the Public Works division for testing. <br /> [COA][ENGINEERING] <br /> 34. Fire Flow - The Project shall meet fire flow requirements as established by the Fire <br /> Department which are based on the Fire Code. Fire flow tests are typically performed <br /> during the preliminary design phase but must be completed prior to submittal of final <br /> design. Applicant shall contact the Fire Department for fire flow requirements, and then <br /> submit a written fire flow test request to Engineering. [COA][ENGINEERING] <br /> Street Infrastructure Improvements <br /> 35. Streetlights - A total of 6 new and 2 refurbished and relocated streetlights shall be <br /> installed along Wilson Street, El Camino Real, and Diller Street frontages. The final <br /> model and location will be determined by Public Works. These improvements shall be <br /> included as part of the Building Permit submittal package. LSDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> 36. Street Trees - A total of 15 (24-inch box) street trees shall be planted along Wilson <br /> Street, El Camino Real, and Diller Street frontages. These trees shall be spaced at <br /> minimum intervals along project frontage, and species as determined by the City's <br /> ATTY/RES0.3086/PC RESO 1305 EL CAMINO <br /> REV:05-14-15 VR <br /> Page 9 of 17 <br />
