ATTACHMENT 1 <br />ATTY/RESO.3103/CC RESO AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ADJUST CM, CLK, AND CA SALARIES <br />REV: 06-17-15 PT <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />RESOLUTION NO. _____ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING <br />MAYOR TO EXECUTE AMENDMENTS TO EMPLOYMENT <br />AGREEMENTS OF CITY ATTORNEY AND CITY CLERK ADJUSTING <br />THEIR SALARIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority, the Redwood City Council periodically <br />determines whether to make adjustments to the salary and compensation plan for the <br />appointed positions of its appointees including the City Attorney and City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council conducts annual performance evaluations of the its <br />appointees, and reviews salaries with respect to salary survey data of comparable <br />positions in benchmark Cities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council seeks to acknowledge the performance of the City <br />Attorney and City Clerk and ensure that salaries remain competitive and in appropriate <br />alignment with other City classifications. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The base compensation for the position of City Attorney shall be increased <br />by two percent (2%) effective the first day of the first pay period following July 1, 2014; <br />and <br /> <br />2. The base compensation for the position of Clerk shall be increased by four <br />percent (4%), effective the first day of the first pay period following July 1, 2014; and <br /> <br /> <br />3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute amendments to the Employment <br />Agreements City Attorney and City Clerk, attached hereto, respectively, to effectuate the <br />salary adjustments as provided for herein. <br /> <br />4.
