<br /> <br />Community Priorities <br />Through the community process, livability and safety were identified as top priorities for the corridor. <br />Attributes that can be used to measure the project’s impact on safety and livability are listed below. <br />Please rank the following attributes in their order of importance to you. <br />1. Rank the following attributes in order of preference, 1 being the attribute that is the most <br />important to you and 9 is the least important. Each attribute must have a different rank. <br />Attribute Description Your Rank (1‐9) <br />Improve air quality How clean or polluted the air is <br />Decrease traffic congestion Delays when driving through the corridor <br />Improve ease of crossing the <br />street <br />People walking or bicycling are able to cross the <br />street safely, without having to wait too long, and <br />without having to walk a long distance <br /> <br />Improve ease of entering <br />traffic <br />Drivers are able to cross the street or enter traffic <br />or driveways safely and without having to wait too <br />long <br /> <br />Provide a Complete Street Roadway design provides facilities for users of all <br />ages and abilities – people walking (with strollers, <br />wheelchairs, etc.), riding the bus, riding a bike, or <br />riding in a car <br /> <br />Improve safety People using the street are not hurt while traveling <br />or crossing the corridor – whether they are walking, <br />on a bike, or in a car <br /> <br />Decrease speeding People driving over the posted speed limit <br />Minimize traffic diversion People driving take an alternate route to avoid the <br />corridor <br /> <br />Improve physical appeal and <br />comfort of use <br />How appealing the corridor is, as impacted by <br />roadway and sidewalk design, lighting, and <br />landscaping and parks, and the resulting comfort <br />for all users (i.e. pleasant and attractive for people <br />driving, walking, and riding bicycles) <br /> <br /> <br />7.1.C. - Page 9
