1 <br /> t <br /> s <br /> 12. fnvestigate and fo{law-up on dangeraus and vicious animal complaints, inciuding b��t <br /> not limited to, initiaily determining the designation of animal as dangerous or vicio«s, ' <br /> as defined by appropriate ordinance; testifying at hearings; moni#oring dangerous <br /> , animaf permifis; investigating and citing owners for permit violations; impounding ali <br /> ; dangerous and viciotas anir►zals posing an immediate threat to the public health and <br /> safety; euthanizing viclous animals; and performing annual inspections of <br /> residences ma€ntaining dangerous animals. <br /> Under no candition shall a dangerous or vicious anima! designation when ; <br /> determined in accordance with �elevant County or City ordinance, piaced on an <br /> animaE by a law enforcement officer of any contract area as shown in Exhibit B ta be <br /> overridcfen by Cantractor, In cases where the contract area law enforeement officer <br /> is designat�ng the animal as dangerous or vicious, Contractor's responsibility is <br /> limited to testifying as may be needed regarding prior history with animal andlar <br /> owner, . <br /> 13. (nvestigate dog vs, person incidents af County and/or City or other approved off- <br /> leash dog are�s including dog parks, beaches, public parks, etc., and if appropriate, <br /> designate animal as dangerous or vicious. <br /> 14. Assign animal control and/or humane o�cers #o perfomi the functiQns specified <br /> throughout this Exhibit. Such officers shall canduct routine patrofs except areas <br /> noted in Excluded Seivices 39.1-31.12; respond to camplaints; investigate and <br /> p�rform rescues; comply with court subpoenas; impound dangerous, vicious, <br /> inju�ed, �nd/ar bose animals. <br /> 15. Employ sufficient resources to provide the level of service guatanteed in this <br /> Services Agreement for County and contract�reas as shown in Exhibit 8. . <br /> 16. Field Enfarcement Staffinq & S�rvices <br /> 16.1 Gantractor shall staff its field services adequately to provide field <br /> enforcement services throughout the Caunfy as provided hereunder. �ie(d <br /> Services enforcement shall be provided twenty-four (24) h�urs a day, seven <br /> (7) days a week as specifted in this Exhibit C, Section 16. <br /> 16.2 Confractor's field services shall include enforcement of all koeal ordinances ' <br /> which are substantialEy similar to the County's Ordinance 6.04, 6.92, 6.16 <br /> and all rela#ed state lativs pertaining to anima�s, except as otherwise noted in <br /> this Services Agreement. <br /> February 5,2015 -22- <br />
