Director Passanisi showed an overhead of the site, advised that the
project does conform to the density requirements of the "R-2" zoning district, and
advised that the zoning ordinance allows ten units on this 1.1 acre property.
Acting Planning Director Passanisi advised that the Planning Commission denied the
request for a Planned Development Permit and the developer had appealed that
decision on his behalf and on the behalf of the property owners. Director Passanisi
said the development was submitted to the Redwood City Architectural Advisory
Committee and was rejected there also.
In response to Council questions, Director Passanisi advised that Redwood City
zoning requirements would permit five duplexes (10 units) on the subject property.
Engineering Manager Patterson further described how five duplexes could legally fit
on this property.
2) Open public hearing;
Mayor Hartnett opened the public hearing at 8:15 p.m.
MINUTE BOOK NO. 54
Page No. 150
Regular Meeting Minutes
March 25, 1996
Page 7
