I . . <br /> <br /> Lorianna Kastrop stated that Shelter Network requested $80,000 and the Committee had <br /> - approved $70,556. <br /> Councilwoman Buchan stated her concerns about Heron Court and requested more <br /> information. <br /> City Manager Everett stated that a report will be forthcoming about Heron Court. <br /> MEMO 517196 <br /> Mayor Hartnett stated that no decisions will be made tonight and there will be a public <br /> hearing at a later date. <br /> Paul Cohen, La Raza Central Legal, thanked Council and the Committee for funding and <br /> discussed the issue raised regarding consolidation and collorabortion with Legal Aid. Mr. <br /> Cohen stated that La Raza Central and Legal Aid are separate agencies but they have met <br /> to discuss the potential for collaboration. <br /> Barbara Kalt, Peninsula Volunteers Rosener House, requested clarification on funds <br /> granted. <br /> Lorianna Kastrop advised that $16,000 was granted to Peninsula Volunteers Rosener <br /> '----' House. <br /> Pietie Vreman, Catholic Charities thanked Council and the Committee for support and <br /> requested further clarification on funding. <br /> Lorianna Kastrop, stated that the Committee had recommended funding $11,000. <br /> Janice Lee, W. Hillsdale Blvd., San Mateo, incoming Chairperson of the Sequoia YMCA, <br /> thanked the HHCC, Council and stafffor support and discussed additional CDBG funding <br /> and the need for disabled facilities. <br /> Councilman Claire requested further information on disabled facilities. <br /> MEMO 517196 <br /> Cassandra Benjamin, Executive Director of Shelter Network's Redwood Family House, <br /> discussed the stipulations, willingness to provide more information, requested support for <br /> $80,000 and the success rate of the program. <br /> Councilman Claire discussed concerns with stipulations regarding the Follow-Up <br /> Program. <br /> '----' Mayor Hartnett advised that the Council will make decisions next week. <br /> Adjorned Regular Meeting MINUTE BOOK NO. 54 <br /> May 6, 1996 <br /> Page 4 Page No. 215 <br />
