I - <br /> No one from the public wished to address this issue. <br /> - <br /> MIS: LEIPZIGIHOW ARD TO APPROVE MURAL GUIDELINES AND REVIEW <br /> PROCESS <br /> Councilman Ruskin offered the following amendments to the motion: "Under Step I, <br /> Application, changing B to read Artist's boards of conceptual design, dimensions and <br /> actual colors, and under Step 3 change B to precise artist's boards to scale of design as it <br /> will appear including actual color and dimensions; Under C specific nature of materials <br /> and lighting; Under Design, murals are not billboards, they must be non-commercial and tie <br /> into an existing theme or community image; adding second item, murals must reflect a high <br /> level of artistic skill; and under Process, the first point, artist's must submit a proposal <br /> including artist's boards depicting design, dimension, actual color and materials to be used <br /> in final artwork." <br /> Chairperson Piulle said the intent of the amendments were included in the guidelines and <br /> process, and they did not want to make them so wordy that artists would think it wasn't <br /> worth the trouble to go through the process. <br /> Councilman Ruskin said his amendments were aimed at giving the reviewers the tools to <br /> insist on the highest quality and the opportunity and the right to say "this isn't good <br /> enough." <br /> ~ <br /> ITERATION OF THE MOTION <br /> MIS: LEIPZIGIHOWARD TO APPROVE MURAL GUIDELINES AND REVIEW <br /> PROCESS <br /> MOTION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 96-123 <br /> n----__-----------------------------------------------------______n______-----------------------------------_n______n <br /> 6.
