THE CITY COUNCIL HELD A PUBLIC HEARING on the application of <br /> ELECTRONIC ARTS for a Development Agreement to construct up to a 1,000,000 sq. <br /> ft. office complex at 201 Redwood Shores Parkway. (Scheduled for 8:30 p.m. or as soon <br /> thereafter as possible.) (110) <br /> (It was noted: Public comment and consideration of the application for a Development <br /> Agreement will commence at this time and be continued to the regular meeting of July 15, <br /> 1996.) <br /> (On July 15, 1996 the City Council will hear the appeal of the decision of the Planning <br /> Commission to approve the Technical Addendum to the 1975 Environmental Impact <br /> Report, a Planned Development Permit, and a Vesting Tentative Map for a 1,000,000 sq. <br /> ft. office complex Electronic Arts Headquarters - Coalition for Compatible Land Use, <br /> appellants.) <br /> Affidavits of notice of publication and notice of mailing of this public hearing are on file <br /> in the City Clerk Department. <br /> - In response to Mayor Hartnett's questions, City Attorney Schricker advised that <br /> "testimony tonight (is) germane to the issues raised on appeal. Therefore the Council can <br /> incorporate testimony that is given tonight on the matter of the appeal. However, having <br /> said that, I must caution the appellants, the parties interested in this matter, that they must <br /> appear if they wish to pursue their appeal, they must appear at the hearing on the appeal on <br /> the 15th, with the understanding that they may make any additional presentations, they <br /> deem necessary. In order to preserve their appeal they must appear (on July 15.)" He <br /> confirmed Mayor Hartnett's statement that the appellants were under no obligation to <br /> speak at this meeting. <br /> At this time, the City Clerk administered the oath to all those who intended to give <br /> testimony in this matter before the Council. <br /> MEMO 7/2/96 <br /> I) Staff report; <br /> REPORTS: Planning Commission's Report to Council, July I, 1996; <br /> Outline by Michael McClintock, P&D Aviation; <br /> Acting Planning Director Passanisi presented the staff report, and showed overhead <br /> transparencies of the subject area.
