Each city has contributed money towards the cost of the <br /> engineering studies, and those studies are on-going. <br /> . Electronic Arts can cancel the shuttle service at any time. In fact, the <br /> development agreement permits EA to cancel shuttle service only if the City <br /> agrees to the cancellation. EA will not have a unilateral right to cancel shuttle <br /> service. <br /> . The general citizenry will pay the cost of the Shoreline Drive extension. In fact, <br /> residential owners will not pay for that project. Mr. Atherly acknowledged that the extension <br /> of Shoreline Drive had been listed as a proposed project in the GID 1-64 budget <br /> since 1989, but added that this street had never been dedicated to the City. Mr. <br /> Atherly expressed his concerns regarding the number and closeness of outlets <br /> affecting Heron Court and Hastings Court. Mr. AtherIy described the increased <br /> congestion on Redwood Shores Parkway, and said there has never been a <br /> demonstrated need for the extension of Shoreline Drive. He added that the <br /> proposed $1.7 miIIion allocated to this extension could be better used on other <br /> projects in Redwood Shores. <br /> . Dominating heights of the proposed buildings. Mr. AtherIy showed a model he <br /> created using wooden dowels that demonstrated the placement and height of the <br /> proposed buildings in relationship to the existing buildings, and said it was <br /> obvious that these buildings were inappropriate next to Heron Court, Hastings <br /> - Court and Dolphin Park.
