Mr. De Spain thanked Director Jany and County agencies that had responded to <br /> this safety hazard. STUDY SESSION ON CODE ENFORCEMENT (709) <br /> STAFF REPORT: Community Development Director Nelson, September 23, 1996 <br /> Mayor Hartnett announced that some time ago Councilman Ruskin had been appointed <br /> liaison to City staff and others on code enforcement issues and would lead the discussion on <br /> code enforcement at this study session. <br /> I) Introduction by Councilman Ruskin; <br /> Councilman Ruskin described the importance of code enforcement and beautification <br /> of Redwood City established by the Council during the past priority setting work shop. <br /> He said that effective code enforcement would foster economic development, another <br /> high priority of the Council, decrease public frustration, and would reflect well on the <br /> community.
