The Building Code is hereby amended by adding <br /> thereto following Section 28L?6 thereof, a new section to be <br /> numbered 2806.1, said section to read as follows: <br /> "�ection 2806.1 A minimum of two� one-half inch, <br /> steel reinforcing rods shall be prov ided in continuous <br /> foundations of all Group H and I occupancy buildings in <br /> accordance with the material and di.mension requirements <br /> set forth in Detail Drawings Numbers 1 and 5, included <br /> herein and entitled 'Detail Drawings, Redwood City Building <br /> Code. "' <br /> SECTION 16. Section 3102 of the Building Code is he=eby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 3102. Concrete slab floors shall be not less <br /> than two inches thick. Topping when poured monolithic with <br /> the slab may be included as a structural part of the slab. <br /> Sleepers for the nailing of a wood floor shall not decrease <br /> the required stntctural depth of the slab unless placed in <br /> the direction of span and then shall not be placed more <br /> than one-half inch into the slab. <br /> " (a) Minimum thickness of reinforced concrete three <br /> and one-half inches. <br /> -10- <br />
