"�ection 23.55 The failure of any officer or of any <br /> employee to comply with the provisions of this article shall <br /> be cause for dismissal in accordance with the procedure <br /> established by this chapter." <br /> (j) Section 3.145 of the Redwood City Code is hereby amended <br /> to read as follows= <br /> "5ection 3.145 Every sign lawfully in existence at <br /> the time of the adoption of this article and which is in <br /> violation of or does not conform to the provisions of this <br /> article shall be removed or altered so as to conform with <br /> the provisions of this article after April 4„ 1963. <br /> "Every sign which, by reason of any amendment to the <br /> provisions of this article or by change of zoning district <br /> or by annexation of territory to this city, becomes in <br /> violation of or dces not conform to the provisions hereof <br /> shal.l be removed or altered so as to conform with the � <br /> provisions of this article within f ive years from the effec- <br /> tive date of such amendment or change. <br /> "The provisions of this section shall not be construed <br /> to extend any period for the removal of nonconforming signs <br /> adjacent to freeways established by Division 5 of this <br /> article." <br /> �ECTION 4. Repeals. All ordinances, any portion of which <br /> are included in the Code of the City of Redwood City, are super- <br /> seded by the Code of the City of Redwood City and are hereby <br /> repealed in their entirety. <br /> Notwithstanding the foregoing, (1) Section 22 of Ordinance <br /> No. 1072, consisting of detail drawings referred to in Section 9.2.20 <br /> of the Code of Redwood City, shall not be repealed and shall con- <br /> tinue in full force and effect to the same extent as if set forth <br /> -12- <br />
