<br /> REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 6-7-04 <br />1 information mailer to all Redwood City households <br />2 and held public forum on this project, where <br />3 residents could have been directly informed of <br />4 these significant environmental impacts, had an <br />5 opportunity to ask questions, voice their concerns, <br />6 and most importantly, explore alternatives and <br />7 solutions with City staff, planning commissioners <br />8 and Council Members. <br />9 Formal public hearings in the final stage <br />10 of a project provide no opportunity for true <br />11 community dialogue on significant project issues <br />12 that are predicted to negatively impact the quality <br />13 of life for every resident. <br />14 To overturn current zoning and planning and <br />15 accept 25 negative impacts for a project of this <br />16 magnitude is not sound policy. <br />17 We need to revise our process to assure <br />18 that developments are consistent to our current <br />19 plan and enhance the quality of life of all Redwood <br />20 City residents. <br />21 Thank you very much. <br />22 MAYOR IRA: Thank you.
