REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
Now, I should point out that the tall
building on the upper right-hand there in the
corner, that's the proposed hotel. The developer
has reserved a hotel site of little less than one
acre. The hotel itself may not even look like
this, that was just put in there. We assume up to
a maximum of 200 units on that corner, but again,
the hotel may be totally different than what you
see there, it's just there for illustrations.
That's the proposed project, and the
original project did not have a hotel included.
Okay. Next slide.
And this is from the Maple street
overcrossing, notice there's fewer buildings, but
they're higher.
And this is the project proposed. And,
again, there's a hotel site in the left hand corner
there.
So I guess the public policy before you
tonight is, is it really appropriate for the Bay
Area support and urban infield development such as
this with extreme heights and density instead of
allowing suburban sprawl. If so, is the bay front a
really good location for this initial urban
development.
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 26
(650) 952-0774
.,
