REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
1 affordable housing. Most of these units will be
i 2 expensive, I think around 5- $600,000
very or per
3 unit. It encroaches on wildlife habitat. And I
4 think the airport noise iss.ue is very important.
5 Also, this is going to destroy the
6 beautiful vistas that you have from the bay coming
7 in from Redwood City, we'll never be able to
8 replace that. Once these towers go up, it's really
9 going to destroy the view shed from the entire Bay
10 Area of Redwood City.
11 And I think it would be a shame at this
12 point, after all the work we've done to clean out
13 our waterways and we have this opportunity now to
(
14 really reorient the City and to make good
15 connections between the City and the recreational
16 resources that are possible to have out here. So I
17 hope that you will take into consideration how many
18 of the people in Redwood City feel and reject all
19 of the changes that are being requested of you to
20 make this evening.
21 Thank you very much.
22 MAYOR IRA: Thank you.
23 MS. SPEAKER: And I'll give this to the
24 clerk with our signatures, thank you.
25 MAYOR IRA: Next speaker is Cathy Conte and
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 74
(650) 952-0774
._"
