REPORTER'S TRANSCRIPT OF PROCEEDINGS TAKEN 5-24-04
1 is to say where else and how else are we going to
( 2 get what this unique opportunity presents for us.
3 The two concerns that I want to remind you
'4 of that arose in the environmental review process,
5 one is the issue of disclosure of existing
6 industrial uses in relation to this project to all
7 future residents. I believe that the Environmental
8 Impact Report errored in suggesting that there were
9 not potentially significant impacts there.
10 But fortunately because we're dealing with
11 highly responsible developer we were able, SIA, to
12 come to a negotiated agreement about a disclosure
13 and we rely on the City to enforce that.
(
14 20 seconds more?
15 MAYOR IRA: I need you to wrap up though.
16 MR. GREENWAY: Thank you.
17 There are a large number of significant
18 unmitigatable impacts from this project, we are --
19 we support this project but we're concerned about
20 traffic. There's only two access points to the
21 freeway, I would just strongly encourage you, even
22 outside the bounds of the mitigation report, to
23 think about how major transportation projects need
24 to be integrated with this project. I'm talking
\ 25 about the Woodside Road interchange, the purchase
UCCELLI & ASSOCIATES 95
(650) 952-0774
.-
