Ralph Nobles, 3720 Country Club Drive, Redwood City, advised he was representing <br /> Operation Aqua Terra, an organization dedicated to reclamation of aquatic resources, <br /> and wanted to bring attention to the problems in Redwood City's waterways due to <br /> abandoned boats and illegal watercraft residences. Mr. Nobles advised that both these <br /> problems were very serious and posed special threats to navigation and caused <br /> pollution of the waterways. Mr. Nobles, City Manager Everett and City Attorney <br /> Schricker discussed the actions taken by the City currently and in the past to eliminate <br /> these hazards; the many local, state and federal agencies with overlapping <br /> jurisdictions; and the cooperation between the County and City to resolve these <br /> problems. <br /> In response to Council direction, City Attorney Schricker and City Manager <br /> Everett advised Council they would meet with Fire Marshal Vella and intensify their <br /> enforcement activities in this area; and they would gladly work with the County, <br /> BCDC and all the other agencies to aggressively pursue workable solutions to <br /> eliminate abandoned boats and illegal water residences from Redwood City <br /> waterways. <br /> MEMO 3/21/95 <br /> C.
