Staff Report - Planning Director, May 22, 1995 Planning Director Patterson described the appeal of the Zoning Administrator's decision to deny an amendment to a use permit which would allow dancing at 2550 El Camino Real. (The request was to allow dancing until 2:30 am on Friday and Saturday). He referenced Section 42.3 of the Zoning Ordinance which relates to use permits. This particular neighborhood has had several issues to deal with over the last few years and has had a lot of police supervision, countless hours of employee time and neighborhood time to address issues. The staff and neighbors are concerned with the impact on the neighborhood from the added use requested by the Restaurant. The recommendation to the City Council is to deny the appeal. In response to a statement from Councilwoman Buchan about the Zoning Administrator's notification process Planning Director Patterson advised that notices were sent out to residents and property owners who live within 300 feet of2550 El Camino Real. In response to a question from Councilman Sanfilipo, Planning Director Patterson stated that the application received by the appellants states operating hours are until 2:30 a.m. and the applicant has been revising the time hoping to a get a favorable response from the City Council.
