be loosened or removed, possibly compromising rain tightness, dust tightness, structural <br /> integrity,or cause damage to the equipment or the housing contents. <br /> Equipment housings are to provide easily accessible threaded studs or a threaded pad to <br /> provide electrical grounding and shall be grounded to this point unless it is to be intentionally <br /> insulated. <br /> All ferrous metal is to be protected from rust by galvanizing and/or rust-inhibiting primer and <br /> paint. <br /> All equipment housings will be designed to allow for installation and mounting to concrete <br /> islands with sturdy flanges and supporting anchor bolts. <br /> All equipment that is located adjacent to any laneway shall be protected by bollards in a way <br /> and format that: <br /> a. Protects"all" of the machinery enclosure from damage by a vehicte. <br /> b. Does not hinder the opening or servicing of the machinery itself. <br /> c. Does not impede or inconvenience customers from interaction with the machinery <br /> itself and where possible also acts to provide customers with the same protection as <br /> intended for the machinery itself. <br /> Contractor will provide, recommend the location, and install protective bollards. <br /> Z. Indoor Equipment/Enclosure General Requirements <br /> Supply all cabinets and other enclosures required to properly house and protect the control <br /> system equipment. <br /> All equipment housings are to be equipped with a locking mechanism unique to the City. <br /> All equipment that is located adjacent to any laneway shall be protected by bollards in a way <br /> and format that: <br /> a. Protects"all" of the machinery enclosure from damage by a vehicle. <br /> b. Does not hinder the opening or servicing of the machinery itself. <br /> c. Does not impede or inconvenience customers from interaction with the machinery <br /> itself and where possible also acts to provide customers with the same protection as <br /> intended for the machinery itself. <br /> All Indoor and Outdoor equipment enclosures shall be equipped with a locking mechanism <br /> with the capability of being re-programmed/keyed to protect against tampering. <br /> 3.
