<br /> Vice Mayor Hartnett advised that the City County Association of Governments (CCAG) <br /> is currently looking at circulating a congestion management plan which will include a <br /> deficiency plan chapter. <br /> D. Guy Bennett, Hillcrest Drive, Redwood City, member of the Port Commission spoke as a <br /> resident and the goal of attaining additional land for the Port of Redwood City. <br /> E. Ralph Nobles, Country Club Drive, Redwood City, previous member of the Redwood <br /> City Planning Commission and current member of the San Mateo County Planning <br /> Commission discussed the importance of land use planning, the shortage of land, and the <br /> negative impact of the project. <br /> F. Patricia Dixon, Admiralty Place, Redwood City, member of the Traffic Advisory <br /> Committee spoke as a resident about widening Seaport. <br /> G. Paul Shepard, So. San Antonio Rd., Los Altos, Cargill Salt employee, discussed <br /> combining industrial uses with a business complex. <br /> H. Joe Steinfeld, Main Street, Redwood City, discussed traffic impacts. <br /> Councilwoman Steinfeld requested further information on property tax, highest and best use <br /> of land and the proposal between the Port and the Developer for a 10 acre parcel. <br /> City Attorney Schricker discussed the MOU between the developer and the Port which is an <br /> economic agreement regarding a 10 acre parcel. <br /> Vice Mayor Hartnett requested the following information for the next study session; <br /> compatibility issues, mitigation issues, the impact on the community and discussed the traffic <br /> impact being the most difficult issue. <br /> Councilman Sanfilipo expressed concerns with traffic and the impact on neighborhoods <br /> Councilwoman Howard requested more information on congestion management. <br /> MIS: SANFILIPO/STEINFELD TO EXTEND THE MEETING TO 11: 15 P.M. <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> Councilwoman La Berge discussed the importance of being selective. <br /> Councilwoman Buchan thanked the Planning Commission for their views and expressed <br /> concerns with traffic and compatibility issues. <br /> MINUTE BOOK NO. 53 <br /> Page No. 216 Special Joint City CounciVPlanning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> June 19, 1995 <br /> Page 6 <br />
