MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> A. League of California Cities annual conference representatives (205) <br /> Mayor Gasparini described her work with the League and her participation on League <br /> Committees and asked her colleagues if they wished her to attend the conference and <br /> participate in committee business knowing she would be leaving the Council in <br /> November. <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Gasparini determined it to be the consensus of the Council that <br /> she attend the League Conference in San Francisco in October, participate in League <br /> committee business, and provide a full report to the Council after the conference. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 95-170 <br /> B. Proposed 1995 Congestion Management Program under consideration by C/CAG (209) <br /> REPORT: Senior Planner Passanisi, August 28, 1995 <br /> Vice Mayor Hartnett presented the staff report and complimented Senior Planner <br /> Passanisi on his work summarizing the complex projects involved in the CMP. Vice <br /> Mayor Hartnett, the Council's representative to C/CAG, advised that C/CAG would <br /> review comments from member Cities and other agencies in September and adopt a CMP. <br /> Vice Mayor Hartnett advised that the Congestion Management Plan was an important <br /> document that would impact Redwood City's development now and in the future. <br /> In response to Council questions, Senior Planner Passanisi and Vice Mayor Hartnett <br /> explained the use of the term "acceptable" when describing levels of service based on <br /> previously approved projects, cities' responsibilities for mitigation programs when <br /> degradation of service occurs, and the presence of Measure A funds to help in certain <br /> cases. <br />NUTE BOOK NO. 53 <br />ge No. 316 Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> August 28, 1995 <br /> Page 8 <br />
