<br /> City Attorney Schricker stated that he had addressed those charges and the gentleman <br /> was off the subject. <br /> Upon being informed that the three minutes allotted for an individual under Oral <br /> Communications had expired, Mr. Steinfeld stated that there was a cover-up regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> Mayor Gasparini issued a second warning to Mr. Steinfeld. <br /> C. Ginny Hughes, 18 Admiralty Place, Redwood City, thanked the Council on behalf of the <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission for their assistance at the fundraiser, October 26, 1995 <br /> at the Police Facility. Mrs. Hughes stated that $14,000 had been raised at the event. <br /> D. Jack Castle, 829 Mohican Way, Redwood City, stated that the Port Commission and Port <br /> staff thanked the City Council and the Sister City Committee for the events honoring the <br /> visiting artists from Zhuhai, China. Mr. Castle also stated that October 31, 1995, was the <br /> deadline for submitting award recommendations to the Sequoia Awards Committee. <br /> Should anyone wish to submit a nominee to receive a Sequoia Award, the FAX Number <br /> is 364-3667. <br /> E. Robert Clinton, 1064-10th Avenue, Redwood City, addressed Council regarding <br /> driveway buffer zones and curb markings. Mr. Clinton stated that a driveway buffer zone <br /> ) was no longer required in the City or State Codes, but he would like it to be included in <br /> the City code. Mr. Clinton submitted a copy of a previous handout of Redwood City <br /> illustrating the need for a 5 foot buffer clearance on either side of any private access to a <br /> City street. He also suggested that the property owners be allowed to paint the buffer <br /> zone white. <br /> Council informed him that a staff representative would call him in regard to this issue. <br /> (100) <br /> MEMO 10/31/95 <br /> Mr. Clinton also inquired about the petition submitted to Council on October 17, 1995, <br /> relating to residential dwellings and possible illegal and improper uses. He was informed <br /> that staff was working on this issue. <br /> Councilwoman Howard suggested that the driveway buffer zone and marking <br /> suggestion be referred to the Traffic Advisory Committee.
