Vice <br /> Mayor Hartnett advised that the design was a good one and had been reviewed by a large <br /> and diverse group of Redwood City citizens like no other project had before. (205) <br /> Mayor Gasparini explained that the Council had met in January, 1995, to establish its <br /> priorities: youth and schools and education, public safety and code enforcement, and <br /> increased entrepreneurial activities and economic development. City Manager Everett <br /> advised that the Department Heads would be presenting their department's activities in <br /> pursuit of those goals and objectives. <br /> 1) Fire Chief Fink discussed the Fire Department's activities in pursuit of the Council's <br /> objectives, including, consolidation efforts, currently with the Menlo Park Fire <br /> Department, to cut costs, increase services, and bring fire department services to <br /> Redwood Shores.
