<br />Councilman Greenalch advised that he did not want to hear anything further <br />on this issue, especially in light of the ground rules established at the - <br />beginning of the Meeting. <br />The issue was withdrawn from discussion. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />C. Councilwoman Gasparini alerted everyone to two separate events on <br />October 30, 1993: 1) everyone was invited to the Clean-up of Rolison Road <br />at 8:30 A.M., Saturday morning; and 2) the Council was asked to help at the <br />"Say NO to Drugs Campaign" Barbecue at the Veterans/Senior Center after the <br />softball game, Saturday afternoon. <br />D. Councilwoman Gasparini asked her colleagues for input regarding the proposed <br />shopping cart program; advised that the hot line was being used; and, the <br />stores are improving their retrieval efforts. <br />E. Councilwoman Gasparini presented Georgi La Berge with "the world's longest <br />ice cream cone card" in honor of the Georgi's and Warren Dale's first <br />wedding anniversary. The card was made by the children at ice cream social <br />on October 3, 1993. <br />F. Councilwoman La Berge described the ice cream social she and Warren <br />sponsored to raise funds for the La Berge Child Care fund. Counc il woman La <br />Berge advised that approximately $1500 was raised for child care programs in <br />Redwood City. <br />G. Councilwoman La Berge advised that Monday she attended the signing of the <br />agreement between KCSM-TV and SAMCAT, a JPA with Redwood City, five other <br />cities and the County of San Mateo, that will provide television coverage <br />of events of interest to Redwood City citizens, such as public meetings. <br />It will also be used for training purposes by the members. Council asked <br />staff to provide information on Redwood City's participation in the PEG <br />channel. <br /> MEMO 10/5/93 <br />H. Councilwoman Steinfeld advised that the Housing and Human Concerns Committee <br />will be addressing the issue of accessory dwellings at the Planning <br />Commission meeting on Tuesday evening, and invited the Senior Affairs <br />Commissioners to attend. <br />I. Councilwoman Steinfeld announced the Bay Area Teen Expo was scheduled for <br />October 16th in Foster City, sponsored by the Park and Recreation <br />Departments and Youth Councils on the peninsula and invited everyone to <br />attend. <br />J.
