Emerald Hill saw a small reduction in estimated emissions,
while the other intersections experienced increases. The volume of emissions as a whole is
very small, and does not exceed the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD)
thresholds of significant impacts for air quality. These thresholds are shown in Table 21.
Table 18 Change in CO Emissions (kg)
Intersection Pre-Pilot
During
Pilot
Absolute
Change
Percent
Change
Farm Hill / Emerald Hill 5.39 4.80 -0.59 -11%
Farm Hill / Glennan 3.34 5.28 1.90 58%
Farm Hill / McGarvey 3.30 4.56 1.26 38%
Farm Hill / Jefferson 4.06 5.20 1.14 28%
Table 19 Change in NOx Emissions (kg)
Intersection Pre-Pilot
During Pilot Absolute
Change
Percent
Change
Farm Hill / Emerald Hill 1.1 0.9 -0.1 -10%
Farm Hill / Glennan 0.7 1.0 0.4 57%
Farm Hill / McGarvey 0.6 0.9 0.2 38%
Farm Hill / Jefferson 0.8 1.0 0.2 31%
Table 20 Change in VOC Emissions (kg)
Intersection Pre-Pilot
During Pilot Absolute
Change
Percent
Change
Farm Hill / Emerald Hill 1.05 0.94 -0.11 -10%
Farm Hill / Glennan 0.65 1.02 0.37 58%
Farm Hill / McGarvey 0.64 0.88 0.24 36%
Farm Hill / Jefferson 0.78 1.02 0.24 29%

8.A. - Page 31
