Pedestrian crossing Emerald Hill and Farm Hill
We need more police presence on Farm Hill!
o Down town near the old Post office, there is a crossing lane that lights up. Why
do we not have this at all school crossings
Center turn lane used for passing between Glennan and Emerald Hills primarily near
Emerald Hills
o Bike lanes being used as second lane same region
More enforcement for speeding by the Weingarten school
Going down Farm Hill from 280, the traffic speed has not slowed at all
o I have experienced being passed from center lane going up Jefferson at Glennan
Right turn coming up Farm Hill to PCC tailgating cars make slowing down impossible
even with advanced turn signal (turn right lane from PCC) passed with another vehicle
while coming up Farm Hill from light at Jefferson flew by in the turn lane
More police enforcement. Cost is offset by revenue from citations
People passing in center lane 1pm Saturday after McGarvey Eastbound
People tend to accelerate when there is a merge ahead to get past the other car
Passing in the turn lane! I witnessed during mid‐afternoon on a weekday in the uphill
direction on Farm Hill, just uphill of McGarvey
The balance of more traffic in a neighborhood thorough‐fare is a difficult task. Please
consider posting 30 mph speed limits in the entire Jefferson/Farm Hill. :) Traffic and
resident safety is key, but only if drivers comply with laws, etc.
How many people are speeding up and down?
Background/Context:
o Driving uphill (westbound) Farm Hill
o The lane opens from 1 lane to 2 lanes at Cambridge all the way to the 280
intersection
Issue:
‐Speeders and road rage drivers use this as an opportunity to speed up to pass
slower traffic
‐As a resident on the 4000 block, the number of speeders has increased
tremendously
‐I am for the new lane configuration and just ask for additional enforcement.

8.A. - Page 46
