6 | Page

Board Title: General Comments
Prompt: None
More data please
Prior to changing to one lane each way, did the council look at other cities with a sheet
like Farm Hill such as Trousdale in Burlingame – just added more stop signs
Do your homework! Trousdale Ave Burlingame does not have this problem!
Increased aggressive driving at ALL stop signs and lights.
Stopped cars ruin air quality!
Today’s road don’t handle rush hour now – totally inadequate for new residents and
workers in new construction
Traffic increased in Arlington, Oakdale, Brewster, Hudson, and other neighborhoods
affected by this project!
Increase walk time at McGarvey and Farm Hill (only about 10 seconds now)
When developers want to put in apartments (with too few parking spaces) make them
build a parking garage for the city and make it be open before they can rent the
apartments!
Traffic noise had gone down considerably which shows that people are slowing down. It
feels a lot safer
To provide safe crossing on 4 lane road, add crossing buttons so all cars see flashing
lights to signal pedestrians are crossing (Jefferson by Cleveland, etc.)
Monitoring Goals – detailed results??
Multiple city council members should attend every similar community meeting on this
topic
Congestion on side streets and going up Jefferson to avoid Farm Hill has become awful.
There are much more cars on the tributaries now than have been in the last 24 years.
This is a direct result of drivers trying to avoid Farm Hill by using Jefferson to Emerald
Hill, then down to Farm Hill, going up the Hill.
Been living on Jefferson for 17 years. Slowdown on Farm Hill and added congestion on
Woodside and Edgewood is awful
Why not have timed traffic lights if you want to slow down traffic. And please don’t
change Jefferson
Also, young men who asked for REAL neutral data. Biggest example is Jefferson
downtown 1 block used. Not really comparable. Misleading and suggests using data to
make your side.
I walk on Farm Hill and more people walk and cars drive slower. Thank you for making
our neighborhood better for us all.
8.A. - Page 49
