Please reference applicable regula/ions and standards for re l evant <br />details <br />PERSONAL P ROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br />Personal Pr·otective E quip ment: Eyes/Face <br />Wear safety glasses with s id e s hi elds (or goggles) and a fuce shie ld, if this materia l is made into solution. l f necessary, r efer to U.S. <br />OSHA 29 CFR 1910.133. <br />Personal Protective E quipment: Skin <br />Wear chemicall y-imp ervious gloves, made of any waterproof material, boots and coveralls to avoid skin contact. I f necessary, refer to <br />U.S. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.138. <br />Person a l Protective E quipm ent: Respiratory <br />1 f a irborne concentrations are above the applicable exposure Limits , use NlOSH -approved respiratory protection. If respiratory <br />protection is needed, use only protection authorized in th e U.S. Federal OSHA Standard (29 CFR 191 0.134), applicab le U.S. State <br />regu lations. Oxygen levels be low 19.5% are considered JDLH by OSHA.ln such atmospheres, use of a fu ll -facepiece pressure/demand <br />SCBA or a full facepiece, supplied air respirator with auxi li ary self-contained ai r supply is required under OSHA's Respiratory Protection <br />Standard (19 1 0.134-1998). The fol lowing NlOSH Guidel ines for Copper dust and mists (as C u) are presented for further information. <br />Up to 5 mg/m3 : Dust and mist respi rator. <br />Up to I 0 mg/m3 : Any dust and mist respirator except single -use a nd quarter mask respirators or any SAR. <br />Up to 25 mg/m3 : SAR operated in a contin uous-now mode or powered air-purifying respirato r with a dust and mist filter(s). <br />Up to 50 mg/m3 : Air purifying, fu ll -facepiece respirator with high-efficiency particulate ftlter(s). any powered air-purifY in g respirator <br />with tight-fitting facepiece and high-efficiency particulate f1lter(s) o r full-facep iece SCBA, or full-facepiece SAR. <br />Up to I 00 mg! m3 <br />: Positive pressure, full-facepiece SAR. <br />Eme rgency or Planned E ntry into Unknown Concen trati o ns or IDLH Conditions: Positive pressure, full-facepiece SCBA, or positive <br />pressure, ·fi.lll-facepie(.:e SAR w ith an auxiliary positive pressure SCBA. <br />Escape: Full-facepiece respirator with h ig h-efficiency particulate filter(s), o r escape-type SCBA. <br />NOTE: The !DLH concentration for Copper dusts and mists (as Cu) is I 00 mg/m 3 <br />• <br />Pet·sonal Protective Equipm ent: Genera l <br />Wash hands thoroughly after handling material. Do not eat, drink o r s moke in work areas . Have a safety shower o r eye-wash fountain <br />avai lable. Use good hygiene practices when handling this material including changing and laundering work clothin g after use.
