Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. <br /> <br /> B. Levy of Benefit Assessments for Fiscal Year 2015/2016 for the <br /> Seaport Boulevard Landscape Maintenance District (507) <br /> <br />Mr. Haya, Senior Civil Engineer, spoke briefly about the history of this item to levy an <br />annual Benefit Assessment for the Seaport Boulevard Landscape Maintenance District <br />of $212,500 and the need for the public hearing and election tonight. <br />Mayor Gee opened the public hearing. There was no public comment. <br />M/S Pierce/Gee to close the public hearing. Motion carried by unanimous roll call <br />vote. <br />Both ballots passed 100% in favor with no protests received. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Hold a public hearing <br />2. Count property owner ballots and declare election results <br />3. Adopt a resolution, contingent on the results of the District’s property owners’ <br />election, to: <br />a. Order the Levy of Benefit Assessments for FY 2015/2016 for the Seaport <br />Boulevard Landscape Maintenance District in the amount of $212,500, and <br />b. Downtown Redwood City - Community Benefit Improvement District <br />("CBID") – Modification of Management District Plan to Remove Certain <br />Parcels (506) <br /> <br />Council Member Howard recused herself due to a potential conflict of interest and left <br />the dais. <br />Sean Brooks, Economic Development Manager, gave a presentation on this item <br />(presentation on file).
