and implementation of GPP-defined handling and disposal protocols. The protocols are <br /> described in a soil and groundwater management plan which, would be required before <br /> construction and subject to review and approval by the City and the County GPP. The <br /> plan would address the following: [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> a. Approvals, permits, and notifications required before field operations begin <br /> b. Field screening that would be performed during excavation to identify and <br /> separate impacted and non-impacted soil <br /> c. Sampling procedures and analytical protocols used to characterize soil in <br /> order to select the proper disposal locations <br /> d. Anticipated disposal locations and transportation routes from the project site to <br /> the disposal locations <br /> e. Procedures used to dewater, contain, sample, test, and dispose of any <br /> groundwater encountered during excavation <br /> f. Storm water runoff control <br /> g. Dust control <br /> h. Air quality monitoring <br /> i. Any additional provisions requested by the GPP as part of its jurisdictional <br /> authority <br /> 69. Grading — Grading shall be performed in accordance with Volume HI, Part II of the <br /> City's Engineering Standards. Soil or other construction materials shall not be <br /> stockpiled in the public right-of-way. The applicant shall submit cut/fill volumes (CY) for <br /> all soils to be imported to or exported from the site. [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> 70. Monitoring — The Soils Engineer shall conduct continuous site inspections during <br /> trenching and backfill operations at the applicant's expense. The Soils Engineer shall <br /> take compaction tests and submit the results to Engineering & Construction. <br /> [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> 71. Public Parking During Construction — Temporary parking meter permits shall be <br /> issued prior to removing any public parking spaces from public use during construction. <br /> An application fee of $30.00, together with the parking meter fees applicable for the <br /> expected duration of the temporary parking meter permit ($2.00-$8.00 daily per space <br /> depending on location) shall be paid in advance prior to issuance of the permit. <br /> [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> 72. Construction Coordination — The applicant shall coordinate the proposed design with <br /> other developments in the area, especially at conform locations, in order to provide a <br /> consistent design for the overall area.
