color shall be Portland Cement Concrete containing 1/4 pound of lampblack/cubic yard. <br /> Liquiblack may be substituted for lampblack (One pint of Liquiblack = One pound of <br /> lampblack. Sidewalks shall be a minimum 12' wide (see attached detail). <br /> [COA][PLANNING] <br /> 7. ADA Ramps - All ADA ramps shall include Dark Gray cast-in-place detectable/tactile <br /> warning surfaces (detail attached). EXCEPTIONS for the use of Yellow include the <br /> following: Immediate adjacency to high-speed/volume thoroughfares, i.e., El Camino <br /> Real, Veterans Boulevard, Woodside Road, Whipple Avenue (US 101-ECR), all <br /> schools, hospitals/medical facilities, active RR lines, i.e., Cal Train, Pacific Union, and <br /> ANY other areas and/or roadways where they are deemed appropriate/necessary by <br /> the City. [COA][PLANNING] <br /> 8. Street Trees - Street trees shall be designated by the City's Landscape Architect. <br /> Trees shall generally be spaced at a minimum 35'o.c. Increased spacing shall only <br /> occur in 2.5' (30") increments to coincide with the sidewalk score pattern. Tree <br /> grates/guards (detail attached) unless otherwise not required, shall be 5'x5', placed <br /> adjacent to back-of-curb and within the 60"x60" score pattern. Minimum tree grate <br /> opening shall be 24"+/-. [COA][PLANNING] <br /> 9. Pedestrian Lighting - Pedestrian scale lights (detail/specification attached) shall be <br /> placed equal distance between every other tree (70'o.c.) or occur in equal distance <br /> increments to coincide w/ tree and score pattern. Lights shall be centered at the center <br /> line of tree grates and the score pattern. [COA][PLANNING] <br /> 10. Street Lights - When existing street lights (Cobra-Heads) occur adjacent to new <br /> development; they shall be removed and either refurbished/repainted or replaced with <br /> the Davit Streetlight (detail/specification attached) and painted gloss black (RAL <br /> #9017). Street lights shall be placed closely back to their existing location, but in a <br /> cadence with the new street tree and pedestrian light placement, centered equal <br /> distance between trees. [COA][PLANNING] <br /> 11. Sidewalk bike racks shall be included to accommodate short term bicycle parking <br /> needs. [COA][PLANNING] <br /> 12. Street Furniture - Any other street furniture (i.e., benches, bicycle racks, <br /> trash/recycling receptacles, etc.) shall be coordinated with the City's Landscape <br /> Architect. [COA][PLANNING] <br /> 13. Unforeseen Circumstances and Utilities - The City understands that unforeseen <br /> circumstances and utilities occur that may preclude a shifting of elements and/or <br /> different locations as described above. If this occurs, notify the City's Landscape <br /> Architect as soon as possible.
