Assistant City Attorney fl <br /> and assists on all aspects of zoning , planning and environmental law; <br /> prepares forms for bonds , complaints , notices , and easements ; advises <br /> and assists in negotiations for land acquisition ; enforces all <br /> City ordinances ; performs such other related duties as may be <br /> assigned by the City Attorney . <br /> REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS , AND ABILITIES <br /> Thorough knowledge of common , statutory and local law or ordinances <br /> of established precedent , and of sources of legal references , <br /> thorough knowledge of the principles , methods , materials and practices <br /> of legal research and investigation ; thorough knowledge of pleadings <br /> and practices and of effective techniques in the presentation of <br /> Court cases ; thorough knowledge of judicial procedure and the rules <br /> of evidence ; thorough knowledge of the techniques of legislative <br /> drafting ; thorough knowledge of the laws of zoning and planning and <br /> of environmental law ; ability to analyze legal documents and <br /> instruments ; ability to appraise and organize facts , and to present <br /> evidence and other material in effective written or oral form ; <br /> ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships <br /> with other officials and employees of the City , Court officials , <br /> and with the general public . <br /> ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br /> Graduation from an accredited law school . Admitted to practice <br /> law before all Courts of the State of California , and four years <br /> of legal practice , two of which should be in the area of municipal <br /> or other governmental agency law . <br /> - 2- <br /> r <br />
