She stated this is the longest four-year period of drought in a <br /> thousand years. She noted that the SFPUC gives docent tours of some of its hiking <br /> trails, and they will be working on the Bay Area Ridge Trail. <br /> B. City Council Committee Reports <br /> Partnership Redwood City - The Heart of America Foundation Video - Hoover <br /> Elementary School, Redwood City, California <br /> The Council watched a video about the makeover of the Hoover School Library. Mayor <br /> Gee stated that Council approved the framework for Partnership Redwood City earlier <br /> this year, which includes in-lieu fees, impact fees, employer engagement, and employee <br /> engagement. A local company, AbbVie, adopted the Hoover School Library and did the <br /> library makeover. Every student also got five free baoks when they registered for their <br /> classes at the school. He spoke about the value of ernployer and employee community <br /> engagement. <br /> C. City Manager (Oral) Update <br /> Mr. Aknin congratulated Sean Brooks in his new position working in Oakland.
