Joshua Vaughn said he was in support of the pilot project and as a bicyclist he felt safer <br /> on Farm Hill Boulevard. Mr. Vaughn said he had mostly encountered only positive <br /> changes and did not fzel the negative changes should stop the program. <br /> Martin Kamph said he believed that the city did not adequately notify residents of the <br /> pilot program and would like better notifications in the future regarding major projects. <br /> Curt Relick said although he had encountered some negative impacts with the recent <br /> changes on Farm Hill Boulevard, he felt that the overall changes would have positive <br /> outcomes for the city. Mr. Relick said he would like for the program to continue through <br /> completion and let the data provide the results for the project. <br /> Chris Gellrich said he was appreciative of the Council's interest in public safety and was <br /> supportive of the project. <br /> Conny Barton said she was supportive of the pilot program and wanted it to continue. <br /> Ms. Bartin said she believed that the new changes would need time to take effect and <br /> that she would like to review the data when the project was completed. <br /> Mark Payne said he received no notification of the pilot program and was not happy to <br /> return home from work to find the curb outside his house painted with a red stripe. Mr. <br /> Payne said he would like to see radar signs along the road to indicate to drivers how <br /> fast they are driving. <br /> •-- Jeff Missad said he was supportive of the project and would like to review the data <br /> analyzed at completion of the project and allow the changes that have already been <br /> i�. made to take effect. <br /> Eva Markiewicz said she felt that law enforcement was needed elsewhere around the <br /> city and they should not be placed on Farm Hill Boulevard for the purpose of a <br /> deterrence to speeding motorists. Ms. Markiewicz said she was supportive of the <br /> program and would like to have the pilot project run through completion rather than <br /> cancelling it prematurely. <br /> Pam Chang said that in the seven years she had lived in Redwood City she had seen <br /> an increase in traffic and has had to find different methods to go home that do not <br /> include driving along Farm Hill Boulevard. <br /> LisaMarie Lombardi recommended that a lighted crosswalk be installed at the Farm Hill <br /> and Emerald Hill intersection and that she had noticed a lot of drivers not utilizing the <br /> left-hand turn lanes to turn left. Ms. Lombardi suggested that community officers visit the <br /> local schools to educate children on bicycle safety. <br /> Chris Matthews said since the project had begun his home was safer in regards to <br /> traffic in front of his house and the additions of the bicycle lanes had already had a <br /> positive impact to his neighborhood.
