Santina Carr�pi is a resident of Mount Carmel and works in the downtown area. She said that crossing Jefferson and Marshall is a challenge and she cannot take back streets without having to take a det�ur due to construction. The proposed plan does not have enough parking and will cause more traffic in downtown. Julie Pardini spoke about the various dispositions of this site. She said that the plan could not be approved if it did not follow guidelines. Philip Andreini spoke abo�t his family history in Redwood City and how he sees the new plan for the project as a good change for Redwood City along with the Downtown Precise Plan. Marianna Raymond spoke about how Redwood City has become lively and vibrant, and appreciates the changes made to the project. She also comments on finding locations for affordable housing. Manuel Landa spoke about the career opportunities he has had because of the construction going on in the City. Jim Clifford spoke about a photo rendition of 601 Marshall next to the Museum and on the image it said the source was Dorsett and the Museum. Mr. Clifford checked and neither knew of the photo. Aaron Pellarin, the current owner of 601 Marshall Street, spoke about the popularity of Redwood �... City because it has a train terminal and bus terminal, with restaurants and other services all within walking distance, and how it should be used to its full potential. Mr. Pelerin mentions that � the new design for the project was due to the input from the community. Avery Bibbs is a longtime resident in Redwood City and supports the new 601 Marshall project. Lisa Carlos thanked the Council for their work and the applicant for the contributions he has made to the community. She spoke about the project having benefits and costs. Lou Covey supports the new building and said he has no problem finding parking, even if he has to walk a couple of blocks. Suzanne O'Brien is a resident of 14 years in Redwood City and supports the new building and the growth of Redwood City. Nori Jaba spoke on how the applicant has listened to the community and redesigned his original plan and all the community benefits the project will provide. Chris Gellrioh spoke about Redwood City being a fun place to be and supports the new building. Ben Paul spoke about the building being a smart development and the benefits of its presence in Redwood City. Thea Henry-Hamilton spoke about the Courthouse and Fox Theater being aesthetic priorities because they are important to Redwood City and the building being built as designed. James Ruigomez spoke in support of the building on behalf of construction workers.
