9. Card Reader Payment and Processing <br /> a. Meters shall accept the following: NFC payment, and, at a minimum, Visa and MasterCard. Please <br /> note if base machines are EMV compliant and include cost for EMV compliance. <br /> EMV Contact Card Reader: $449 <br /> EMV Contactless Payment Reader: $ 199* <br /> *Contactless reader requires the purchase of the contact card reader as well. <br /> b. The maximum number of credit card transactions accepted before automatically disabling credit <br /> card payment method shall be configurable via CMS. <br /> IPS complies. This can be configured in the DMS. <br /> c. The credit card payment gateway provider shall be compatible with and certified for use by credit <br /> card processor at the acquiring bank of the City's choice (currently Wells Fargo; Wells Fargo requires <br /> that the payment gateway provider be "certified" by its credit card processor). <br /> IPS complies. IPS is a certified credit card payment gateway and currently certified with Wells Fargo and <br /> TSYS. IPS processes over 60 million credit card transactions each year, safely and securely. Please see the <br /> Appendix for copies of our PCI and PA-DSS certifications. <br /> d. The meter's card reader shall be non-locking and shall always permit users to remove cards without <br /> damage to the card, especially during a fault situation or power failure. <br /> IPS complies. The IPS card reader is designed such that a card will be <br /> inserted in the most natural way possible and that if done incorrectly " ► i <br /> will also feel instinctively incorrect to the user. This will take the form • VISA { <br /> of the card not sliding easily while in the reader. The display will also <br /> inform the customer that the card was not properly read and that the / ' <br /> card should be re-inserted. IPS also offers a decal on the card reader to <br /> indicate the correct orientation for card use. <br /> e. if a credit card is inserted improperly (e.g., upside down or with <br /> the magnetic strip reversed), the card shall be easily removed by the Customer without the use of any <br /> tools. <br /> IPS complies. <br /> f. If the card slot or reader is inoperable, the meter shall have the option to accept coin and contactless <br /> methods of payment. <br /> IPS complies. In the event of a card reader malfunction, the M5TM will continue to accept payment by coin, <br /> pay-by-phone and contactless payments (optional). <br /> g. The card connector shall be rated at more than 200,000 cycles under ideal conditions. <br /> IPS complies. <br /> h.
