After the execution of the contract, <br /> the City, at its sole discretion,may add or delete other streets or portions of streets <br /> to existing routes at the agreed contract rate. <br /> b. Basic Street Sweeping --- This is the minimum level of street sweeping the <br /> Contractor must provide at all times. Contractor will sweep all residential street <br /> sweeping routes in the City once a month, following the City's established routes <br /> and schedule. For 5-week months when all regularly scheduled sweeping is <br /> completed in 4 weeks, City staff will alert Contractor with routes to sweep during <br /> the remaining week. This work is a part of basic street sweeping and will not be <br /> considered an unscheduled or emergency service. <br /> c. Leaf Season Sweeping rn-- Upon City's written request, Contractor will increase <br /> residential street sweeping frequency to once a week sweeping for all residential <br /> routes during the leaf season. Sweeping will follow the City's established <br /> sweeping schedule and will not conflict with solid waste collection days. <br /> d. Enhanced Street Sweeping--Upon City's written request, Contractor will enhance <br /> street sweeping services to twice a month sweeping of all residential street <br /> sweeping routes in the City and sweeping of all commercial street sweeping <br /> routes in the City. Street sweeping for residential and commercial routes will <br /> follow the City's established routes and schedule. For 5-week months when all <br /> regularly scheduled sweeping is completed in 4 weeks, City staff will alert <br /> Contractor with routes to sweep during the remaining week. This work is a part of <br /> enhanced street sweeping and will not be considered an unscheduled or <br /> emergency service. <br /> e. Days and Hours of Operation - Scheduled sweeping service shall be Tuesday <br /> through Friday of every week, excluding City holidays. Sweeping of residential <br /> neighborhood routes shall begin no earlier than 7:30 am and end no later than <br /> 2:00 pin. Commercial routes shall be swept between 4:00 am and 6:00 am. <br /> f. Dump Locations — Contractor shall dump street debris at the City's three (3) <br /> designated dump locations. <br /> • Municipal Corporation Yard, 1400 Broadway St. Redwood City, CA <br /> • Shoreway Transfer Station, 225 Shoreway Rd. San Carlos,CA <br /> • Stulsaft Park Dump Site, at the end of Recreation Way (only as directed <br /> during leaf collection season) <br /> g. City Holidays - There shall be no sweeping on City observed holidays. City will <br /> provide Contractor the yearly holiday schedule as available. <br /> h. Emergency Service - Contractor shall also respond to emergency calls for service <br /> at any and all times day or night every day during the term of this contract within <br /> two (2)hours of being notified to provide such service.
