according to the commercial schedule, following the City's established <br />routes and schedule. For 5 -week months, when all regularly scheduled <br />sweeping is completed in four weeks, City staff will alert Contractor with <br />routes to sweep during the remaining week. This work is a part of basic <br />street sweeping and will not be considered an unscheduled or emergency <br />service. <br />C. Leaf Season Sweeping — Upon City's written request, Contractor will <br />increase residential street sweeping frequency to once a week sweeping <br />for all residential routes during the leaf season. Contractor will continue to <br />sweep all commercial street sweeping routes in the City according to the <br />commercial schedule. Sweeping will follow the City's established sweeping <br />routes and schedule and will not conflict with solid waste collection days. <br />d. Days and Hours of Operation — Scheduled sweeping service shall be <br />Tuesday through Friday of every week, excluding City holidays. Sweeping <br />of residential neighborhood routes shall begin no earlier than 7:30 a.m., and <br />end no later than 3:30 p.m. Commercial routes shall be swept between <br />4:00 a.m., and 7:00 a.m. Routes with parking enforcement shall be swept <br />according to the posted times. <br />e. Dump Locations — Contractor shall dump street debris at the City's three (3) <br />designated dump locations: <br />• Municipal Corporation Yard, 1400 Broadway Street, Redwood City, <br />CA <br />• Shoreway Transfer Station, 225 Shoreway Road, San Carlos, CA <br />• Stulsaft Park Dump Site, at the end of Recreation Way (only as <br />directed during leaf collection season) <br />f. City Holidays — There shall be no sweeping on City observed holidays. City <br />will provide Contractor the yearly holiday schedule as available. <br />g. Emergency Service — Contractor shall also respond to emergency calls for <br />service at any and all times, day or night, every day during the term of this <br />contract within two (2) hours of being notified to provide such service. <br />Emergency service events generally include traffic accident cleanup of <br />debris on the roadways, storm debris clean-up, and mud/debris on the <br />roadway as a result of water main breaks or other work. For emergency <br />service, Contractor shall bill the City on an hourly rate. <br />h. Unscheduled Service — Upon City's request, Contractor shall provide <br />unscheduled sweeping of any street(s) or portion(s) of street(s). The City <br />will give Contractor a minimum twenty-four (24) hour notice for unscheduled <br />sweeping. Contractor shall satisfactorily complete any contingency <br />sweeping within two (2) business days after notification from the City. <br />These sweeping services shall be billed at an hourly rate. The City will only <br />pay for total hours swept, and will not pay for any unused contingency <br />hours. <br />REV: 05-12-2021 MI <br />ATTY/AGR.2021/Amend.
