Act as an election official for the city in disseminating information, <br />responding to legal and technical questions, and working in conjunction with <br />County election officials; assist the City Clerk in conducting municipal elections. <br /> <br />12. Oversee the risk management aspects of all City agreements approved by the City <br />Council; monitor, review, and update contracts. <br /> <br />13. Oversee the faithful performance, labor and material, payments and bid bonds for <br />all City projects approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />14. Serve as a resource to executives and managers on legal notices, bid openings <br />and related matters; provide advice and information on process and compliance <br />with mandated rules and regulations. <br />15. On behalf of the City Clerk, sign and execute ordinances, resolutions, <br />agreements, minute orders, election documents, and City maps for recordation, <br />and proofs of living; review and track information to ensure legal and technical <br />accuracy. <br /> <br />16. As assigned, serve in the capacity of the City Clerk. <br /> <br />17. Perform related duties as required. <br /> <br />RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Knowledge of: <br /> <br />Municipal agency operations and services. <br /> <br />Role, responsibility and authority of the City Council, City Manager, and the City <br />Clerk. <br /> <br />Principles and practices of employee supervision, training, and performance <br />evaluation. <br /> <br />Operational characteristics of specialized software as it relates to City Clerk <br />Office document preparation and distribution. <br /> <br />Modern methods of communications with the public including social media, <br />streaming live video and related approaches. <br /> <br />Principles and practices of record retention and management. <br /> <br />Principles and practices of customer service. <br /> <br />Methods and techniques of conducting research. <br />6.3.D. - Page 11
